Class Description: This class will utilize Moretti/Effetre and Vetrofond glasses to create colorful beads with a Carlisle Mini CC torch. Students will learn about basic safety in the studio and how to use the torch properly. Some techniques that will be covered are pulling stringers, making twisties, making a basic bead on a mandrel, barrel beads, decorating with stringers and twisties, and if time permits, the instructor will show how to make a simple flower bead. Cost includes torch time, rental of tools, glass and kiln time. No experience necessary.
